RAEF Volunteer Code of Conduct
As a volunteer with the Rohingya Advocacy & Empowerment Forum (RAEF), you represent our mission to advocate for rights, dignity, and empowerment. By signing up, you agree to follow these guidelines:
1. Respect & Professionalism
- Treat all community members, staff, and fellow volunteers with respect, dignity, and kindness.
- Avoid discriminatory, offensive, or harassing behavior in any form (including verbal, written, or online).
2. Commitment & Reliability
- Show up on time for your volunteer shifts or notify your supervisor if you are unable to attend.
- Carry out tasks responsibly and to the best of your ability.
3. Confidentiality
- Protect the privacy of individuals you serve. Do not share personal or sensitive information outside the organization.
4. Health & Safety
- Follow all safety instructions provided by RAEF.
- Report any hazards, accidents, or emergencies immediately to your supervisor.
5. Representation
- Remember that as a volunteer, you represent RAEF in public. Speak and act in ways that reflect our values of peace, justice, and cooperation.
- Do not speak to the media on behalf of RAEF without permission from leadership.
6. Use of Property & Resources
- Use organizational equipment, supplies, and spaces responsibly and only for approved purposes.
7. Zero Tolerance for Misconduct
- RAEF does not tolerate violence, harassment, theft, discrimination, or illegal activity. Such actions will result in immediate dismissal from volunteer service.
