Code of Conduct

Rohingya Advocacy & Empowerment Forum (RAEF)

1. Purpose

The Code of Conduct sets clear standards of behavior for everyone involved in RAEF. It reflects our values of respect, empowerment, accountability, and unity and helps ensure that all activities are carried out with professionalism, integrity, and dignity.


2. General Principles

All members, volunteers, staff, and advisors must:

  • Treat everyone with respect, fairness, and dignity, regardless of age, gender, religion, nationality, ethnicity, or ability.

  • Promote RAEF’s mission of advocacy, empowerment, and community service.

  • Avoid any actions that could harm the reputation, safety, or effectiveness of the organization.

  • Follow all applicable laws, policies, and regulations.

  • Act with honesty, transparency, and accountability in all roles and responsibilities.


3. Professional Behavior

  • Be punctual, reliable, and committed to your role.

  • Maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information.

  • Use RAEF’s resources (funds, property, technology) responsibly and only for official purposes.

  • Avoid conflicts of interest, personal gain, or misuse of authority.

  • Ensure that communication (in meetings, social media, or public platforms) reflects respectful and positive representation of RAEF.


4. Interactions & Relationships

  • Show kindness, cooperation, and support when working with others.

  • Respect different opinions and resolve disagreements constructively.

  • Do not engage in harassment, discrimination, or abusive behavior.

  • Encourage participation of youth, women, and marginalized voices.


5. Accountability

  • Everyone is responsible for upholding this Code.

  • Concerns or violations should be reported respectfully to the leadership team or designated committee.

  • Violations may result in disciplinary action, including suspension or termination of membership/position.


6. Commitment

By joining RAEF as a member, volunteer, staff, or advisor, you agree to:

  • Uphold this Code of Conduct in all activities.

  • Act in the best interest of the community and the organization.

  • Lead by example to build trust, unity, and empowerment for the Rohingya community.
